Citrix XenClient Available for Download

On May 12th Citrix released its top secret client type 1 hypervisor, XenClient. For several years now I’ve been running VMware workstation on my desktop and laptop to isolate different work environments and toolsets while maintaining a clean base system image so I was pretty excited to grab the download from http://www.citrix.com/English/ps2/products/feature.asp?contentID=2300346 , unfortunately, and as I kind of expected, my HP 8510w laptop or my Dell Optiplex desktop, which both have Intel VT extensions aren’t equipped with VT-d so even though I pushed through the installation after a reboot I was able to get no further than the XenClient startup screen. With VMware likely not far behind with their client hypervisor (CVP) I’ll be off to replace my 8510 with something on the very short HCL for XenClient.
